Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking Medical Support Specialists in Humble, TX. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety under the guidance of Center Physicians and Medical Affairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate-equivalent nursing program preferred.
• Current licenses/certifications: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN.
• Current CPR and AED certifications.
• Meet state requirements for basic IV therapy where applicable.
• Complete FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including consent, education, self-exclusion, medical history, exam, testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and center standing orders.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unclear or critical medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and assist investigations per EHS/Medical Affairs.
