Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Experience in healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience in call center/communications or dispatch center preferred.
• EMT Certification preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate multiple computer programs simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Receive transport requests and coordinate with vendors and dispatch assets.
• Document patient information, dispatch assets, and monitor transport progress.
• Respond to calls with urgency and provide good customer service.
• Maintain EMTALA education to prevent risk to facility.
• Know facility staff, services and programs for effective coordination.
• Enter data for monitoring calls, admissions and transports.
• Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are maintained.
• Participate as a team member in a multidisciplinary group.
• Attend monthly staff meetings.
• Address dissatisfied customers and escalate to leadership when needed.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
