Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Parallon is seeking a Discharge Transport EMT/Logistics role within our patient logistics centers. You will coordinate discharge transport, gather patient status, and work with hospitals and transport providers to ensure timely arrangements.

Ideal candidates have EMT licensure and 2+ years hospital experience; strong communication; proficiency in MS Office; ability to handle multiple calls and maintain data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical or hospital experience
• EMT licensure (Basic, Advanced, or Paramedic) required
• Knowledge of state/federal regulatory requirements for ambulance transports
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with hospital staff and transport companies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant databases

Responsibilities

• Performs discharge transport coordination for patient logistics in a timely, patient-centered manner
• Coordinate transport with hospitals and third-party providers
• Maintain awareness of hospitals and transport services within markets served
• Maintain professional communication with hospital staff, dispatch, and PLC coordinators
• Ensure accurate data collection in patient records and workflow systems
• Navigate and document in all technology platforms and call systems as needed
• Prioritize transport arrangements based on ETAs and facility requests
