Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with EMT certification.
• EMD certification is required or obtained within 6 months.
• CPR certification and Virginia EMT license preferred.
• Excellent communication and multitasking under pressure.
• Experience with CAD and radio communications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer emergency calls and triage to determine response level.
• Enter and update data in the CAD system accurately.
• Monitor ambulance deployment and unit status in real time.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and hospitals as needed.
• Escalate protocol deviations and system issues to supervisors.
• Attend required continuing education and maintain certifications.
