Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company in Rocklin, CA is seeking an Operations Systems Supervisor to lead EMS operations and ensure 24/7 system integrity for the Grid Control Center and TOC. The role requires coordinating with multiple teams, overseeing SCADA modeling, and ensuring compliance with NERC/CIP standards.

The position is hybrid, with 1–2 days in the office and remote work as needed. Salary is aligned with California ranges, and includes eligibility for discretionary incentive compensation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years in an engineering, IT, or other relevant capacity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EMS Operations Team in 24/7/365 shift-based environment, ensuring system support, analysis, development, programming, and hardware maintenance for EMS tools.
• Coordinate with project leads to manage workload and meet performance objectives for system availability and project completion.
• Manage EMS SCADA modeling and testing to ensure visibility and control of PG&E transmission systems for Grid Operations and external interfaces.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, model transmission equipment, and support Grid Operations in delivering high-quality service.
• Participate in strategic planning and engineering analysis with GCC, TOE, System Protection/Automation, TCC, IT, and Construction.
• Develop and enforce procedures to ensure compliance with NERC/CIP standards and interface with CAISO, WECC, CPUC as needed.
• Coach and lead EMS team to meet department goals and individual development objectives.
• Develop department standards and improve business processes to meet new goals and objectives.
• Provide technical expertise for design, procurement, and implementation of EMS applications and interfaces.
