Job summary

NAES is seeking an Energy Management System (EMS) Engineer to lead EMS/SCADA and real-time monitoring across commissioning and commercial operations. You will optimize power flow, grid connectivity, and dispatch capabilities, working with Operations, Controls Engineering, and OEMs to ensure high reliability and operational performance.

You will coordinate EMS integration with DCS/PLC and other plant systems, lead RCA investigations, and drive cybersecurity and system upgrades while maintaining

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Computer Engineering or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience supporting EMS/SCADA, real-time monitoring in power generation or industrial facilities.
  • Knowledge of DCS/PLC, industrial networks, and system integration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for EMS/SCADA and real-time monitoring to maximize reliability and performance.
  • Monitor real-time generation, loads, power flows, and BESS to support safe operations.
  • Develop, configure, maintain EMS applications, SCADA displays, and alarms.
  • Analyze EMS/SCADA data to identify abnormalities and optimization opportunities.
  • Support Control Room Operations with dispatch and operating limits oversight.
  • Coordinate EMS integration with DCS/PLC and turbine control systems; support upgrades.
  • Lead RCA investigations for EMS/SCADA issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage EMS projects, software upgrades, cybersecurity improvements, and MOC processes.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, OEMs, contractors, and utilities for improvements.
  • Ensure EMS activities meet safety, cybersecurity, regulatory and company requirements.
