Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior EMS Modeling Engineer to grow the Operational Technology and Real-Time Systems practice. This role focuses on EMS modeling, SCADA/ADMS tasks, and TMS display development using GE eTerraSource and FG Display Builder.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of GE eTerra/Alstom Grid experience, a BS in engineering, and strong communication skills to collaborate with teams while ensuring compliance with NERC CIP requirements.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of GE eTerra/Alstom Grid experience.
• BS degree in Electrical/Control/Computer engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with TMS modeling and display building using eTerraSource.
• Familiarity with GE FG Display Builder.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support EMS modeling and applications using GE eTerraSource SCADA/EMS.
• Perform network modeling for internal transmission areas.
• Perform SCADA cleanup tasks including removal of ADMS points.
• Build modeling and displays for Transmission Energy Management Systems (TMS) using FG Display Builder and the eTerraSource 3.2 modeling tool.
• SCADA point-to-point validation and rectification.
• Process SCADA update requests (add/delete/update breakers, reclosers, transmission lines, etc.).
