Job summary

Pedernales Electric Cooperative is seeking a skilled SCADA/EMS engineer to ensure 24/7 system availability for operators. You will develop and maintain SCADA/EMS, implement topology and DA enhancements, and handle data management across RTUs, IEDs, and networked devices.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Computer/IT Engineering, 5 years in utility-scale SCADA/EMS, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer, or IT Engineering field.
• Five years of directly related work experience in utility-scale SCADA, EMS, or ADMS administration.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and maintain the SCADA/EMS System to ensure 24/7 system availability for Operators.
• Oversee daily operation, health monitoring, and preventative maintenance of the enterprise SCADA/EMS platform.
• Install, test, configure, and troubleshoot SCADA related networks and hardware across the utility distribution network.
• Design, build, verify, and maintain SCADA/EMS displays and data architectures for grid operators.
• Perform data maintenance, archiving, and advanced retrieval using historians and SCADA systems.
• Support 24/7 real-time control system integrity and reliability.
