Job summary

Seattle City Light seeks an experienced OT Systems Integrator to support and modernize EMS/SCADA applications powering the utility’s 24x7 grid operations.

The role reports to the IT Manager for the Power System Automation Unit and requires a strong background in OT, SCADA, and cybersecurity, with Linux/Windows scripting and data reporting skills. You will collaborate across teams to ensure reliability and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Five years of experience in Energy Management System, OT, or SCADA environments, preferably in an electric utility.
• Strong understanding of SCADA fundamentals and industrial protocols.
• Comfort with Linux/Windows environments and scripting for troubleshooting and automation.
• Experience with IT/OT integration, cybersecurity and incident documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support EMS/SCADA infrastructure health, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with system operators, engineers, and field crews to troubleshoot real-time issues and deliver grid modernization projects.
• Safely deploy software changes, maintain system documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in 24x7 emergency support rotations to protect grid reliability.
