Job summary

Acadian Ambulance Service is seeking a Recruitment Coordinator to oversee sourcing, interviewing, and hiring processes for EMS personnel. The role emphasizes engaging with job fairs, educational facilities, and management to meet staffing needs, while ensuring compliance with hiring laws and delivering clear candidate communications.

Responsibilities include maintaining records of interviews and offers, and collaborating on promotional recruiting initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training; EMT/AEMT/Paramedic preferred.
• Knowledge of hiring laws and recruitment of medical personnel.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to present to groups.
• Proficiency in Windows and Google Suite; ability to write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Source and recruit quality candidates.
• Provide realistic job previews with compensation, benefits, and conditions.
• Discuss staffing needs with supervisors and management.
• Attend job fairs and network with educational facilities to source candidates.
• Maintain logs of contacts, interviews, and offers; report to supervision weekly.
• Conduct behaviorally based interviews and recommend candidates for processing.
• Coordinate with education coordinators to recruit EMS personnel.
• Notify applicants of employment consideration and manage offers/rejections.
• Assist in designing promotional recruiting tools and programs.
