Job summary

The University of Vermont Health Network seeks an EMS Project Manager to lead grant-funded initiatives advancing statewide EMS and community-based healthcare services.

In this hybrid, benefits-eligible role, you will coordinate multi-department projects, manage timelines and resources, and evaluate outcomes to improve EMS delivery across Vermont, including MIH program development and workforce readiness efforts.

Qualifications

• National Registry EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic certification required; Paramedic level certification strongly preferred.
• Vermont EMS Instructor/Coordinator credential or New York Certified Instructor Coordinator credential strongly preferred.
• Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum of two years of field experience as an EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic required.
• Formal project management training or certification strongly preferred.
• Previous project management and supervisory experience in a healthcare, EMS, public health, or community services organization.
• Experience serving as an instructor, educator, or trainer strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate grant-funded EMS projects across multiple departments.
• Support statewide MIH program development and workforce readiness.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate project outcomes using structured PM methodologies; coordinate resources and stakeholders.
