Job summary

The University of Vermont Health Network hybrid, grant-funded, benefits-eligible position with funding approved in one-year increments and an anticipated duration of three years.

The EMS Project Manager oversees project management activities for grant-funded, contract-based, and organizational initiatives, ensuring planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation across EMS and community-based healthcare services.

Qualifications

• National Registry EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic certification required; Paramedic level strongly preferred.
• Vermont EMS Instructor/Coordinator credential or New York Certified Instructor Coordinator credential strongly preferred.
• Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum of two years of field experience as an EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic required.
• Formal project management training or certification strongly preferred.
• Experience as an instructor, educator, or trainer strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of EMS and community-based projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional work with clinical, operational, educational and support teams.
• Support statewide MIH program development and workforce readiness initiatives.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deliverables are on schedule and within scope.
• Apply structured PM methodologies to monitor outcomes and foster continuous improvement.
