Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a dispatcher who receives prehospital reports from EMS providers and relays information to various facilities. The role also coordinates specialty teams and enters data for all activities in the communication center.

The position requires PA EMT/Paramedic licensure or EMS Compact Privilege and at least two years in EMS or 911 dispatch. Additional duties may include security-related communications and incident support.

Qualifications

• Minimum PA EMT or Paramedic license or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at the EMT or Paramedic level
• Preferred Dispatching experience for an EMS agency or emergency operations center
• Two years of experience in EMS and/or 911 Communications center

Responsibilities

• Receives Prehospital reports from EMS providers on ground or air ambulances.
• Relays reports to multiple receiving facilities.
• Coordinates and dispatches specialty teams within AHN facilities.
• Enters data for all activities performed within the communication center.
• Provides direct communication to security staff and dispatches officers when indicated.
• Monitors safety and security for areas of responsibility.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
