Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an EMS communications coordinator to manage ground and air notifications, coordinate teams, and relay information to responding units. The role supports hospital operations across the network.

Successful candidates will have EMT training and PA licensure, with preferred prior EMS dispatch experience. Data entry, safety monitoring, and collaboration with security are essential responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum completion of an EMT program.
• PA EMT or Paramedic license or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at EMT/Paramedic level.
• Preferred dispatching experience for an EMS agency or emergency operations center.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and directs ground and air notification for incoming ambulances.
• Coordinates and dispatches specialty teams within WPAHS facilities.
• Enters data for all activities performed within the communication center.
• Provides direct communication to security staff and dispatches officers when indicated.
• Monitors safety and security for areas of responsibility.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
