Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a dispatch coordinator for its EMS communications center in Monroeville. The role handles prehospital reports from EMS to AHN hospitals and coordinates with hospital staff in a professional and efficient manner.

Key duties include relaying reports, dispatching specialty teams, data entry, coordinating security, monitoring safety, and performing other duties as assigned in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• PA EMT or Paramedic license or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at the EMT or Paramedic level
• Dispatching experience for an EMS agency or emergency operations center
• Two years of experience in EMS and/or 911 Communications center
• CPR or obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receives Prehospital reports from EMS providers on ground or air ambulances and relays reports to multiple receiving facilities
• Coordinates and dispatches specialty teams within AHN facilities
• Enters data for all activities performed within the communication center
• Provides direct communication to security staff and dispatches officers when indicated
• Monitors safety and security for areas of responsibility
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
