Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and oversight for delivery of high-quality patient care across nursing units and EMS/pre-hospital personnel, including collaboration with local fire departments.
• Leads talent management: interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluation, corrective action.
• Develops and manages capital and operating budgets in partnership with the Administrative Director of Emergency Services; monitors financial performance and variances.
• Establishes and executes strategic plans and operational goals for the EMS system; mentors staff toward department objectives.
• Oversees EMS policies and procedures; approves changes.
• Directs programs including training, continuing education, quality improvement, and certification processes; participates in disaster preparedness planning.
• Serves as SME to staff on complex patient care and operational issues; promotes best practices.
• Maintains knowledge of industry trends through education and professional development.
