Job summary

Edward Ambulance Services in Naperville, IL, is seeking a Paramedic (EMT-P) to provide high-level medical care and transportation under the Medical Director's directives. You will evaluate and treat patients across ages in the transport environment and coordinate with physicians, hospital staff, and the patient’s family.

Requirements include being 18+, HS Diploma or GED, IL EMT-P, valid license, background check, and successful completion of pre-employment assessments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• HS Diploma or GED.
• IL State EMT-P certification.
• Test into Edward Hospital EMS System.
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
• Consent to criminal background check.
• Pass pre-employment testing including a physical and lifting agility exam and a successful interview.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care and transportation for patients at EMT-P level.
• Evaluate and treat patients in transport, coordinating with physicians and medical directors.
• Collaborate with team including drivers and hospital staff to ensure quality care.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in quality assurance programs.
• Maintain clinical proficiency across emergencies including medical, pediatric, obstetric, traumatic cases.
• Complete transports within shift timelines and participate in ongoing training.
