Qualifications

Must complete EMS Level A Instructor course as prescribed in Florida Administrative Code.
Current Florida Paramedic certification in good standing.
Current Fire Instructor I certification; Fire Instructor II preferred.
Additional credentials: LFTI/II, PALS, ACLS, CPR/BLS, PHTLS.

Responsibilities

Guide learning in EMS/Fire Science and related courses across campuses.
Assist in curriculum development; create learning activities and assessments.
Maintain a 40-hour work week including classroom instruction, office hours, and preparation.
Participate in department meetings and college committees; support institutional effectiveness.
Evaluate student outcomes and report as required; supervise students.
Maintain current knowledge of teaching methods and participate in professional development.
