Job summary

Essentia Health’s Fosston EMS department seeks a supervisor who will oversee day-to-day operations, including scheduling, orientation, training, employee relations and performance management for EMS staff. The role includes splitting time as a Paramedic, responding to calls, and delivering advanced medical care in pre-hospital and hospital settings.

Requirements include Paramedic or RN licensure with BCLS/ACLS/PALS credentials, strong MVR/driver qualifications, and knowledge of EMS regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ paramedic experience
• NIMS 100, 200, 700
• Valid CDL where required
• Must meet MVR requirements with driving and health clearances
• Authorized to operate as a Paramedic in appropriate state of practice

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day EMS operations and supervision of assigned staff
• Schedule, orient, train, and manage employee relations and performance
• Respond to emergent and non-emergent EMS calls and hospital codes with advanced medical care
• Ensure compliance with Minnesota EMS regulations and department policies
• Coordinate with EMS leadership and hospital staff for service delivery and improvements
