Essentia Health is seeking an EMS Supervisor/Paramedic who will oversee day-to-day operations, including scheduling, orientation, training and performance management for EMS staff. The role combines leadership duties with hands-on paramedic work responding to emergencies and hospital codes to deliver advanced medical care.

• Minimum of two years’ experience as a paramedic.
• State licensure as Paramedic or RN; ACLS, BCLS, PALS.
• NIMS 100, 200, 700 demonstrated.
• Must meet MVR driving requirements and CDL when required.
• Background check: clearance to work with vulnerable adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of EMS staff including scheduling and training.
• Respond to emergent and non-emergent EMS calls; provide advanced medical care.
• Oversee compliance with Minnesota EMS regulations and standards.
• Assist EMS Leadership with planning and evaluating service delivery.
• Split time between supervising and hands-on paramedic duties on ambulances.

This position will also split their time as a Paramedic and be expected to respond to emergent and non-emergent calls and/or hospital codes and provide advanced medical support and care for patients.Education Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:Responsible for supervision of assigned staff including scheduling, orientation/training, employee relations and performance managementAssists Emergency Medical Services Leadership with planning and evaluating the delivery of servicesEvaluates, enforces clinical guidelines and departmental policies and proceduresProvides medical emergency services and transport when scheduled or as needed.
