Job summary

Aspen Valley Health is seeking a PRN EMS EMT to join the Aspen Ambulance department. The role involves responding to emergency calls, assessing patients, and delivering pre-hospital emergency care in line with protocols while working a rotating shift.

Required credentials include an EMT license in Colorado (or eligibility to obtain) and BLS; valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience is also needed.

Responsibilities

• Administers care to sick and injured persons in pre-hospital and interfacility settings as directed by paramedics, local protocols and physician orders.
• Responds to emergency calls for medical assistance, assesses the situation, obtains basic medical history and physical exam of the patient, and provides emergency care at the scene and during transport to the hospital.

Job description

We are currently hiring for a PRN EMS Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) within the Aspen Ambulance department here at Aspen Valley Health. Work Shift: Rotating - Other Compensation Range: $25.48 - $40.78 The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position.

Requirements

Unrestricted license to practice as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date. Completion of CDPHE-recognized IV Approval course. Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire. Current driver license, or ability to obtain prior to start date, with minimum 3 years of driving experience and acceptable MVR.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Advanced EMT or Paramedic preferrred. We will consider equivalent combinations of experience and education for certain jobs.

Position Overview
