Job summary

Aspen Valley Health is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department in Aspen, CO. The ED RN will deliver direct patient care across all ages, support the treatment plan, educate patients and families, and contribute to continuous quality improvement.

Rotating shifts apply; compensation reflects night/weekend differentials. Required ADN and CO RN license (or ability to obtain), BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC, with BSN/MSN preferred and bilingual Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have ADN and CO RN license; BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC required or obtained.
• BSN/MSN preferred.
• 2+ years emergency nursing experience preferred.
• Spanish bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department for patients of all ages.
• Educate patients and families around plan of care and disease management.
• Support treatment plans and coordinate with medical staff for quality care.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and time management.

We are currently hiring for a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) within the Emergency Department department here at Aspen Valley Health.

Work Shift:

Rotating - Other

Compensation Range:

$49.67 - $79.47Night and weekend shift differentials up to $10 per hour!

The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Emergency Nurses Association - Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (BSN) or Master’s (MSN) in Nursing preferred.
• 2 years of emergency nursing experience preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse certification preferred.
• Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse certification preferred.
• Experience with EPIC preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

The Emergency Department RN provides direct patient care for paitent of all ages using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with AVH policies, values, and mission. Works in support of the medical staff treatment plan. Educates patients and family around the plan of care and disease management. Actively supports the nursing philosophy by striving for excellence in patient care, professional development, interpersonal relations, time management, and continuous quality improvement.
