Job summary

St Mary's County Government in Maryland seeks an EMS Division Manager within the Department of Emergency Services to oversee daily operations, QA programs, and compliance with COMAR and DEA regulations.

You will supervise Medical Duty Officers, coordinate training, staffing, and field operations, and represent the department at local and state functions. A strong background in emergency medical services and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Fire/EMS/Public Admin or equivalent.
• 3 years EMS experience, incl. 2+ years in supervision.
• National Registered Paramedic or MD Paramedic license, with 60-day reciprocity.
• ALS/ACLS, CPR, Hazmat Ops, IC S 100/200/300/400/700/800 credentials.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily EMS division operations per laws and policies.
• Manage department schedule and staffing to ensure readiness.
• Lead QA program for EMS division.
• Serve as narcotics control officer and manage policy compliance.
• Coordinate training and evaluate providers for competency.
