AMR is hiring a Dispatcher to receive, record, and manage requests for ambulance assistance from various sources. This 12-hour night shift position may include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• EMS or public safety dispatcher experience preferred.
• Strong English reading and writing.
• Excellent radio/telephone communication and data entry accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and use basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Receive and record ambulance requests.
• Allocate EMS resources using approved protocols.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of paperwork.
• Enter shift data accurately, including State Run Report data.
• Generate and verify reports.
• Locate incident scenes and determine fastest routes.
• Relay instructions from supervisors and emergency information.
• Maintain knowledge of AMR policies.
• Follow standardized procedures for service requests.
• Operate equipment such as 911 systems and recording devices.
