Superior Mobile Health in San Antonio, TX is seeking an EMS Dispatcher I for full-time work at the Christus Communications Center. After a three-week onsite training at the Main Station, you’ll transition to the assigned work location.

You will handle emergency and non-emergency calls, enter data into the CAD system, and coordinate with field crews to ensure rapid response. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, strong communication with callers, and teamwork with higher-level dispatchers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dispatch experience preferred (EMS, fire, police, or medical dispatch).
• Proficient with Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems.
• Ability to handle high-volume, fast-paced call environments while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency and non-emergency calls professionally and urgently.
• Gather critical information from callers and portals (location, nature, patient details).
• Enter, verify, and update call data in the CAD system.
• Review and validate information from portals or hospital interfaces.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve missing or unclear details.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
• Collaborate with Dispatchers II, shift Supervisors, and field crews.
• Support dispatch with complex intake or clerical tasks.
• Stay current on procedures, protocols, and CAD best practices.
• Perform other duties to support operations.
