Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in health care or dispatching EMS/law enforcement/fire.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office/Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming/outgoing telephone and radio communications.
• Differentiate between routine and priority messages; respond promptly and professionally.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Record requests for service via handwritten and computer entries.
• Dispatch EMS units via radio or telephone per established protocols.
• Coordinate outsourced service requests and escalate concerns as needed.
• Maintain unit and personnel status and location; assist with large-scale incidents.
• Communicate with other dispatch centers and prehospital providers.
