Job summary

911 Emergency Communications is seeking dedicated Emergency Medical Dispatchers in Carthage, MO. You will handle medical emergency calls, verify location and details, and coordinate rapid ambulance response following established protocols. Training and eligibility for CPR certification are highlighted, with possible sponsored coursework.

Overnight and rotating shifts may apply. Experience in emergency communications and the ability to work under pressure are valued as you support medical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification may be required. EMT or paramedic credentials are not universally required.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls involving illness, injury, and other medical emergencies.
• Confirm patient location, callback number, and access details.
• Ask approved questions about the patient's condition.
• Determine response priority through the authorized medical dispatch system.
• Dispatch or coordinate ambulance resources when assigned.
• Provide protocol-based instructions within current qualifications.
• Relay patient information and scene hazards to responders.
• Document call processing and participate in quality-review activities.
