Job summary

Global Medical Response in Rancho Cucamonga is seeking a full-time Dispatcher to answer emergency and non-emergency calls for ambulance and transportation services. You will assign and route requests and communicate clearly to ensure quality support and care for our customers.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, CPR certification, and the ability to type and use computer systems. Experience in medical or telecom fields is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR Card.
• Medical or telecommunications experience preferred.
• Fluent reading and writing of English.
• Clear radio and telephone communication.
• Accurate data entry and multitasking ability.
• Proficient with basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Understands Emergency Medical Dispatch concepts and applies AMR protocols.
• Allocates EMS resources using approved rules and protocols.
• Ensures completeness and accuracy of paperwork before shift end.
• Accurate data entry, including State Run Report data entry as assigned.
• Generates applicable reports and verifies accuracy.
• Locates incident scenes and selects safest routes using locator aids.
• Relays instructions from supervisors and emergency information.
• Maintains knowledge of company policies, procedures, and memoranda.
• Follows established parameters in receiving service requests.
• Maintains knowledge and use of equipment (computer, printers, 911 gear, etc.).
