General Description

Under the supervision of the EMS Shift Supervisor and/or the Chief EMS Operations Officer, performs responsible technical work assisting in EMS field operations supervision. May act as a paramedic when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, plus one year or 30 semester hours of college, completion of an EMT Paramedic course, and one year of supervisory experience in emergency medical work.
• Substitutions: Equivalent education and experience allowed.
• Certifications: Valid EMT-Paramedic registration with the National Registry and certification from Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.
