Job summary

Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District seeks an EMS Administrative Technician to support the EMS ePCR system. You will maintain data accuracy, review reports, and prepare data exports for billing.

This role requires attention to detail and strong administrative skills in a public safety environment. Responsibilities include QA reviews with EMS crews, managing credentials, processing expense reimbursements, and coordinating licensing renewals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of twelve college units.
• Two years in an administrative/EMS systems role in public or private sector.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Certified Ambulance Compliance Officer preferred.
• Certified Ambulance Privacy Officer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data within the ePCR system to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Review completed ePCRs for accuracy and readiness for export to the billing system.
• Perform quality improvement reviews and coordinate corrections with EMS crews.
• Identify quality issues and refer them to the CQI Manager for review and action.
• Extract, import, and export data using EMS-related information systems.
• Monitor and review ePCR data to identify discrepancies and ensure data quality.
• Maintain employee profiles in ImageTrend, SCEMSA, and related EMS databases.
• Coordinate renewal and upgrading of licenses and certifications for district personnel.
• Process patient complaints, disputes, grievances, and reimbursement requests.
• Communicate with EMS personnel and staff to support EMS systems and processes.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
