Job summary

American Medical Response in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking a Call Receiver Associate who will function as a call-taker and telecommunicator for ambulance requests, recording and managing dispatch information, and providing pre-arrival instructions when indicated.

This full-time position requires EMS/dispatch experience, strong English communication, accurate data entry, and the ability to multitask under pressure. Hourly starting pay is $17.00+ DOE.

Qualifications

• One year as EMS or Public Safety Dispatcher.
• Strong reading and writing in English.
• able to communicate clearly on radio/telephone.
• Accurate data entry and reporting.
• Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs accordingly.
• Implement Emergency Medical Dispatch concepts per protocols.
• Allocate EMS resources using decision rules and protocols.
• Complete paperwork before shift end.
• Enter data accurately; may include State Run Report data entry.
• Generate and verify relevant reports.
• Assist in locating scenes and choosing safest routes.
• Relay instructions from supervisors and emergency information.
• Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Follow established service request formats.
• Operate equipment including 911 systems, printers, and computers.
• Adhere to policies and pursue ongoing education.
• Maintain positive professional behavior toward customers and coworkers.
• Follow information systems security policies and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
