Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year EMS or Public Safety Dispatcher experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong reading and writing English.
• Ability to communicate clearly on radio and telephone.
• Accurate data entry and reporting.
• Proficient with basic computer applications.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Good typing speed and accuracy for emergency and nonemergency calls.
• Ability to understand basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs accordingly.
• Implement EMS dispatch concepts per established standards and company protocols.
• Allocate EMS resources using approved protocols.
• Maintain accurate paperwork before shift end.
• Enter data accurately for the shift and state Run Report data entry.
• Generate applicable reports and verify accuracy.
• Locate incident scenes and determine safest routes when possible.
• Relaying instructions from supervisors and emergency information.
• Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to policies and procedures.
• Seek ongoing professional growth through education and conferences.
• Maintain professional conduct and interpersonal service.
• Adhere to information systems security policies and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
