Responsibilities

• Compiles, scans, processes, and maintains medical records in accordance with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Processes all requests for confidential patient information.
• Adheres to guidelines pertaining to releasing confidential information and drug and alcohol abuse, as well as all HIPAA laws.
• Performs system checks on the EMPI data and maintains accuracy of healthcare data through chart corrections.
• Works with providers regarding record analysis to ensure completeness of records.
