Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System in Missouri seeks a Medical Records Clerk to compile, scan, process, and maintain patient records in line with HIPAA and regulatory requirements.

You will handle requests for confidential information, conduct EMPI data checks, and coordinate with care teams to ensure records are complete and accurate.

Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm; a high school diploma and at least six months of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of prior relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Compiles, scans, processes, and maintains medical records in accordance with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Processes all requests for confidential patient information.
• Adheres to guidelines pertaining to releasing confidential information and HIPAA laws.
• Performs system checks on the EMPI data and maintains accuracy of healthcare data through chart corrections.
• Works with providers regarding record analysis to ensure completeness of records.
