The HIM Technician will assist with EMR in-basket tasks, release of information, scanning/indexing, and reporting to the HIM Manager, contributing to high-quality patient records and regulatory compliance.

• Experience with EMR/EHR systems and health information management workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling medical records.

• Assess EMR work queues to verify medical records are complete and reports are available.
• Transcribe and manage documentation using transcription systems and EHR/EPIC.Monitor EPIC in-basket and process ROI requests per policy.
• Index, scan, and file records; ensure privacy and release of information compliance.
• Generate reports for the HIM Manager to support data accuracy and metrics.
