Responsibilities

• Prepares records accurately to ensure timely access by authorized persons.
• Monitors chart for additional work assignments.
• Organizes and stores records appropriately to establish easy access for clinical personnel.
• Documents within EMR and hospital charting system.
• Accept and process hospital consults and deliver to specified provider via text and or email.
• Ensures appropriate referral information obtained and register as needed.
• Provides clinical information to third party commercial payers as needed for payment justification.
• Adheres to the release of patient information and is compliant with HIPAA regulations.
• Releases protected health information in an efficient manner to appropriate parties.
• Pick up and distribute office mail, prepare outgoing mail with postage as needed.
• Pick up documents from providers offices to scan and or shred.
