Responsibilities

• Monitors and resolves issues in the EMR
• Verifies and merges duplicate MRN assignments
• Assists with patient amendment requests
• Maintains Epic work queues and in-baskets
• Resolves incomplete accounts and notifies physicians
• Analyzes records for documentation deficiencies
• Conducts weekly incomplete notifications and closes records
• Processes PHI requests and payer audits (RAC, denials)
• Enters birth data into Ohio Health Department system
• Notarizes and certifies copies of medical records
• Provides coverage for Health Information Specialist duties
