Job summary

Vinfen is seeking staff to provide person-centered supports in a residential program in Lowell, MA. You will teach skills to enhance independence, support community integration, and promote self-advocacy while ensuring a safe and clean living environment.

You will work closely with individuals, families, and staff to coordinate services, access community resources, and implement DSP plans. The role requires driving, strong communication, and commitment to person-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Driving is required; valid license and insurance and clean driving record.
• CPR, First Aid, MAP, PBS Tier 1 and Safety Care certifications required within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in the home to become integrated into their communities and develop friendships.
• Access community-based supports and resources for individuals.
• Plan recreational and social activities to promote inclusion and well-being.
• Empower individuals to make choices and be involved in decisions about supports and lives.
• Support access to assistive technology to enhance independence and community participation.
• Help individuals secure, maintain and grow work, volunteer, and community engagement.
• Promote independent living and self-advocacy in daily activities.
• Maintain family partnerships and open communication with staff and stakeholders.
• Provide training and support in daily living activities, including budgeting, shopping, and meal planning.
