Job summary

Delion Care Services in Frankfort, Kentucky, is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to empower participants to live independently. You will provide hands-on assistance with personal care, accompany clients on errands, and help them engage in community activities.

The role emphasizes individualized care plans, documentation, and collaborating with families and staff to ensure safety and progress toward goals.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: At least one year in human services, healthcare, or related caregiving field preferred but not required.
• Age: Must be 18 years or older.
• Mobility: Valid Driver’s License and active auto insurance.
• Screening: Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with participants, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Health & Wellness: Ensure participants receive prescribed medications and monitor health, safety, and welfare.
• Daily Living Support: Assist with ADLs, meal prep, personal hygiene, and homemaking as needed.
• Goal Achievement: Help participants reach personal goals and develop independent living skills.
• Community Engagement: accompany participants on outings and encourage social interaction.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate daily progress notes and paperwork.
