As a Day Training DSP, you’ll teach, mentor, and transport participants on community outings while documenting progress and ensuring regulatory compliance. A positive attitude and willingness to grow are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Age: 18+ (21+ preferred).
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Physical ability to keep up with an active group.
• Positive attitude and openness to feedback for growth.
• Experience with challenging behaviors or SCL/Michelle P. Waiver services is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage & Teach: use creativity to teach social skills, budgeting, personal care, and safety.
• Community Integration: provide transportation and support for community outings and local exploration.
• Holistic Support: assist with health, welfare, personal care, and emotional support or de-escalation.
• Documentation: maintain progress records and hours, ensuring compliance with waivers.
• Be the "Fun" Factor: plan creative activities to keep participants engaged.
