Job summary

Delion Care Services in Somerset, KY is seeking dedicated DSPs to support individuals in the Supports for Community Living and Michelle P. Waiver programs.

As a DSP, you will advocate, mentor, and tailor day-to-day assistance to each participant's needs, from personal care to community activities. Responsibilities include health monitoring, ADLs, goal setting, and ensuring safety while promoting independence and social engagement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in human services, healthcare, or related caregiving field preferred but not required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid Driver’s License and active auto insurance.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with participants, families, and administrative staff.

Responsibilities

• Health & Wellness: Ensure participants receive prescribed medications and monitor their health, safety, and welfare.
• Daily Living Support: Assist with ADLs, including meal prep, personal hygiene, and household tasks.
• Goal Achievement: Help participants reach personal goals and develop new skills for independence.
• Community Engagement: Accompany participants on outings and encourage social interaction.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely progress notes and paperwork.
