The position demands a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, current ASHA CCC-SLP, and Michigan SLP licensure. CFY candidates may be considered with supervision toward CCC-SLP.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Current ASHA CCC-SLP certification.
• State of Michigan SLP license (LARA).
• CFY with supervision leading to CCC-SLP will be considered.
• MI Teaching Certificate with SB endorsement or Temporary TEA with SB endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students to determine eligibility for special education using evaluations and classroom observation.
• Interpret evaluation findings to parents and school staff.
• Develop and modify SMART therapy goals aligned to Common Core standards.
• Create and maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Counsel parents, teachers and students regarding communication disorders.
• Collaborate with parents and professionals to implement intervention strategies and participate in RtI efforts.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; maintain accurate records as required by law.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the administrator.
