Job summary

Detroit Academy of Arts and Sciences in Detroit seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to provide direct services to scholars in expressive and receptive language and to support the IEP/IDEA processes. The position requires a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and either CCC-SLP from ASHA or Michigan SB Endorsement, plus a MI SLP license.

Experience in urban school settings is preferred. Salary ranges from $56,300 to $83,700 per year.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• CCC-SLP or Michigan SB Endorsement, and/or MI SLP license.
• Ideal: urban school experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students to determine eligibility for special education and related services.
• Interpret evaluation findings to parents and staff clearly.
• Implement Individual Educational Plans (IEPs).
• Develop and support goals through direct services and collaboration.
• Evaluate progress and adjust goals as needed.
• Create a learning environment appropriate to student abilities.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and other professionals to support communication disorders.
• Participate in MTSS process and school professional development.
