Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
• North Carolina Professional Educator's License in Exceptional Children's teaching area.
• Ability to protect student confidentiality and follow FERPA.

Responsibilities

• Develops IEPs for students with disabilities and updates them as needed.
• Implements instructional strategies and progress monitoring tools for SPED students.
• Assists students in completing curriculum tasks and achieving IEP goals.
• Uses varied teaching methods and accommodations to meet diverse needs.
• Monitors behavior, maintains classroom discipline, and de-escalates incidents.
• Participates in IEP meetings as a collaborative team member.
• Keeps current on trends and best practices through professional development.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
