Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) seeks a qualified educator to teach within the AKS framework and align instruction with PL standards. A Bachelor's degree in Education is required, with preferred prior teaching experience.

Strong communication, assessment, and collaborative skills are essential to support diverse learners. The role emphasizes integrating technology to enhance instruction, implementing IDEIA guidelines, and partnering with administrators, colleagues, students, and families

Qualifications

Knowledge of GCPS AKS curriculum and effective instructional practices.
Understanding of IDEIA and due process guidelines.
Excellent oral and written communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate command of the subject taught and provide instruction aligned to district curriculum.
Develop and prioritize instructional objectives based on AKS curriculum and student needs.
Evaluate and modify resources to match learner needs and AKS objectives.
Oversee assessment activities, including formative and summative evaluations.
Maintain a positive learning environment and manage student behavior effectively.
Collaborate with regular educators, administrators, and parents to support student success.
