Qualifications

• Meets Georgia certification requirements in appropriate field of education
• Bachelor's Degree in education from PSC approved college or university
• Experience teaching preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate command of subject being taught
• Develop and prioritize instructional objectives based on district AKS
• Plan instruction to promote mastery of prerequisites
• Analyze student work and assessments to determine instructional needs
• Prepare written lesson plans to support AKS objectives
• Plan appropriate assessment of student learning
• Organize content for presentation of the lesson
• Utilize scientifically researched instructional strategies to promote understanding
• Provide formative and summative assessments and feedback
• Maintain an effective learning environment and classroom management
• Communicate with parents and staff about student progress
• Participate in professional growth and professional learning activities
• Maintain regular attendance and professional responsibilities
