Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in applicable field of education or PSC approved college/university is required.
• Meets Georgia certification requirements in appropriate field of education.
• Previous teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons based on the district AKS curriculum and create an environment supportive of intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development.
• Demonstrate command of the subject matter being taught.
• Develop and prioritize instructional objectives based on AKS; plan and assess to promote mastery.
• Evaluate and select appropriate resources aligned with AKS and learner needs; integrate technology where applicable.
• Provide formative and summative assessments and communicate results to students and parents.
• Organize the learning environment to maximize student engagement and transitions.
