Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Paraeducator in a Special Education program for the 2026-27 school year in Minnesota. The role supports instruction for students with disabilities in mainstream or center-based settings and includes behavior management and progress recording.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma, complete a Personal Care Assistant certification within 30 days, and meet education/testing requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Personal Care Assistant certification required within 30 days of start.
• 60 sem/90 qtr credits or an associate degree (or higher) or ParaEducator/ParaPro exam.

Responsibilities

• Assists in instruction of students with disabilities in various settings.
• Monitors and records student progress in academics and daily living skills.
• Manages physical needs: toileting, feeding, dressing, lifting, and positioning.
• Maintains student data and supports behavior management under supervision.
