Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking an paraeducator to support certified teachers and specialists in monitoring and instructing special education students under supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, academic tasks, and routine classroom duties to relieve teachers of clerical work.

Responsibilities include tutoring, material development, data collection on goals, and collaboration with staff to implement behavioral supports.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 60 college credits required at time of hire OR pass the ParaPro Test provided by the district free of charge.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, under teacher’s direction, classroom work/homework and reinforce objectives; provide tutoring and guided practice.
• Assist in development of instructional materials and in maintaining the classroom.
• Assist in data collection on academic and behavior goals as instructed.
