Job summary

Progressive Rehab Solutions is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to assist the Physical Therapist in delivering physical therapy services in a long-term care or related setting. You will implement treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence, while educating patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises and safety techniques.

Requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting and active state licensure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in PTA from an accredited program is required.
• Current state PTA license is required.
• Clinical experience in rehab or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist for individual or group therapy.
• Assist patients with mobility, strength, balance, and gait training.
• Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises and safety techniques.
• Complete all clinical documentation accurately and timely per Medicare and company guidelines.
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of therapy equipment and treatment areas.
• Communicate patient progress to the supervising Physical Therapist and collaborate with the care team.
